Jean-François Vincendeau

Jeff VincendeauPassionate about Afro American music, Jeff studied his favorite instrument, the upright bass at the CMCN music school of Nancy.

He went on studying at the conservatoire, and played in numerous bands such as, Malted Milk on (Peaches and ice cream), Tribeqa (colors), played with Lucky Peterson, Boney Field, Karl W Davis (Tear it up), played on Hocus Pocus album (Place 54). Faithful to his love for creation Jeff gives priority to original music making.
He currently teaches bass and upright bass at Vertou music school, and workshops in Pop and Jazz music. He also works with Trempolino in MuMa teaching.
His influences rang from Albert King for the Blues, Herbie Hankock for Jazz, James Brown for Soul music, to Ali Farka Touré for world music.
